      • Jul 2020 - Aug 2020

As an intern, I was a curator for the Holocaust Center’s museum exhibition Uprooting Prejudice: Conversations for Change. Working with a three-person team, I conducted in-depth secondary research on the history of organized white supremacy in the United States. Using online research databases as well as memoirs, oral history, and documentary footage, I generated in-depth research reports. From this reports, I generated thousands of words of written copy and designed panel mockups. Much of my work was included in the final exhibition. Show less

    • Founder and President
      • Feb 2018 - May 2019

Following the Parkland school shooting, I created a youth-led gun reform organization. Designed to empower youth involvement in politics, we have 12 member chapters, and over 100 Florida members. As President, I managed our website and social media accounts, published our bi-weekly newsletter, managed volunteers and events, and oversaw all other group operations--including outreach. My biggest strengths lay in media relations, team management, and public speaking. I have been recognized for my work at multiple levels. In November of 2019, I was a delegate at the Peace Jam Youth Summit in San José Costa Rica, where I met with Nobel Prize Laureates Pres. Oscar Arias and Jody Williams. In February of 2019, I was a featured keynote speaker at the Florida Women's March. I also worked closely with local organizers, like Moms Demand Action and the League of Women Voters, attending conferences, panels, and workshops. After moving to New York to continue my academic career, I was no longer able to serve as president and stepped down. You may visit our archived website at youthtoendgv.weebly.com. Show less

    • Sunday Volunteer
      • Aug 2014 - Aug 2016

For two years, I was a regular volunteer at the Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center of Orlando, FL. Every third Sunday of the month, I would open and close the museum. I welcomed guests, provided tours, and managed the library. I was honored to work several special events, including most of 30th Anniversary speaking program “I Remember: Reflections of Eyewitnesses to the Holocaust." During these Q&A panels, I had the pleasure of assisting Holocaust survivors Gene Klein, Sonja Marchesano, Eva Ritt, and Pierre Haskelson. As a young, dedicated volunteer, I was also a featured speaker at the Holocaust Center Dinner of Tribute in May 2016. References available upon request. Show less
