- Primary architect of a transaction with the City of New York to obtain a 15-year below market option to extend the lease on the company’s distribution center in Hunts Point. The transaction included environmental concerns, as well as commitment to install a new roof on the distribution center and the largest solar panel array in the Bronx. - Oversee company’s litigation portfolio including self-insured auto and workers compensation program; represent company in all aspects of litigation process. Identify and retain appropriate counsel, direct activity, and manage costs. Provide direction throughout pleadings, discovery, pre-trial, trial, and settlement phases of litigation. - Identified and moved self-insured business to new insurance broker which saved the company thousands of dollars in medical, property and casualty, auto, and workers compensation costs. - Extensive experience in a variety of commercial transactions including technology agreements (saas, cloud, software licensing and hardware), marketing, advertising and consulting agreements, banking agreements, service agreements, vendor agreements, sales agreements, and confidentiality agreements. - Negotiated two profitable supply agreements: a $100M logistics, marketing, pricing, rebates, mark-ups, and returns agreement with a partner in the Northeast and a $50M distribution agreement in Florida. - Promoted to responsibility for oversight of Human Resources, Regulatory Compliance and Public Affairs. - Conduct internal investigations, draft position statements, and communicate directly with state and federal agencies, including EEOC, NLRB, DOL, and OSHA. - Legal advisor to Board of Directors, President, and executive management. - Work extensively with customer facing point of sale division crafting programs and reviewing documentation related to retail technology, including credit card processing, cash registers, loyalty programs, gift cards and PCI compliance.
