I was the Channel Manager at GD-Itronix for 3 years. Howard Pace was a direct Sales Rep in Texas. I never had to go call on a VAR in Texas because Howard treated every VAR like an End User. He got them signed up, explained the program to them and walked them through the ordering process. He answered all the questions they had, went on cold calls with them, attended trade shows and closed deals with them. He never took any of those deals direct. Howard was the Channel Manager of Texas.
