I worked with Hoeward on the launch of The Clinton Global Initiative. It was a pleasure to work with him. His production knowledge is first rate and his execution is flawless. His easy style with complete attention to detail commands respect and everyone likes to work with Howard.

The AALDC looks forward to bringing the 47th Atlantic Antic™ to the avenue on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at full capacity! Last October the AALDC presented the 46th Atlantic Antic™. Brooklyn’s oldest street festival, returned for its 46th iteration Sunday, and revelers were thrilled to be back on the namesake avenue after the coronavirus pandemic led to the event’s cancellation last year. TIME OUT NY named us the Best Street Festival in NYC for 2021! The festival took over Atlantic Avenue from Hicks Street, near the East River waterfront, to Fourth Avenue near the Barclays Center, with great merriment as throngs of food vendors, knick-knack purveyors, and performers lined the thoroughfare. Attendees went to the circus, rode a pony, ate all sorts of grub, and watched belly dancers, drum lines, marching bands, and dance troupes perform. In addition to the many performers on the Community Stage and the always wonderful Middle Eastern band on the Main Stage, Kids Rock for Kids and the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus delighted the crowd. This past year, the AALDC also produced our first PRIDE event in June, SPRING FLING in April, WALK THE WINDOWS in December and last October, Arts Gowanus ArtWalk on Atlantic Avenue, This self-guided, socially distanced, walking tour featured 110 artists in 65 storefronts along the 1.5 miles of Atlantic Avenue. The LDC teamed up with the Atlantic Avenue BID and Arts Gowanus to bring almost 10,000 visitors to the avenue during the opening weekend. Thanks to my partners, Johnny Thornton, Curator at Arts Gowanus, and Kate Chura, Executive Director, at the Atlantic Avenue Business Improvement District.
