Role involves: -Responsible for execution activities in preheaters, rotary Kilns, clinker coolers, clinker pan conveyors, Coal mills and HFO.-Responsible for keeping boilers on good working order and performing routine maintenance, this includes checking heating systems are running efficiently, cleaning tubes, pipes, and ducts, removing any deposits that may have formed, leak testing and gaskets.-Carry out unplanned maintenance in the event of the failure or malfunction, with the objective of restoring normal operations as quickly as possible.-Ensure that all scheduled maintenance plans are applied on its planned time.-Monitor equipment performance and evaluate equipment history and failure trends to determine sources of poor component performance.-Work with supervisors of maintenance (mechanical and electrical) to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of maintenance activities.-Ensure safe execution for tasks/activities by comply with safety standards & procedure.-Review engineering specifications/drawings and propose design modifications to improve reliability within cost and other performance requirements.-Direct & supervise workforce (supervisors / contractors) engaged in major shutdowns & major activities.
