As a Pharmacy Technician, I completed data entry of incoming prescriptions. In a four station system, we worked as a team to input, bill insurance, fill and sell prescriptions in a rate of about 250-300 per day. In addition, we communicated with doctor's offices, hospitals, and rehab centers to ensure correct dosing and co-pays for our patients. After almost eight years in this position, the most important and rewarding part of my job was getting to know a variety of customers and building a relationship of trust with them in the same way I do with my students at JMU.
