From April 2013 I was employed as Solutions Delivery Analyst with Formica Group, a division of Fletcher Building (NZ), the world’s largest manufacturer of high pressure laminate and decorative surfaces. I worked in a small development Team and was responsible for the support and development of the ERP System and applications across Europe and North America, primarily in relation to Warehousing and Distribution. I travelled extensively and supported the implementation of ERP systems and process improvements across manufacturing sites and warehouses in Valencia, Valmont (France), Perstorp (Sweden) and Kolho (Finland) as well as facilities in North America (Cincinnati and Indianapolis). I also travelled to Ahmedabad (India) in August 2013 to support a BPCS ERP implementation at Formica Group India’s manufacturing site and warehouse. I was part of the team that successfully implemented Infor's ERP system across North America (USA, Canada and Mexico) throughout 2013-2014 and these systems were then rolled out across European sites in January 2016. In addition to supporting Infor LX and Infor SCE (Supply Chain Execution) and other integrated systems on the IBM iSeries I developed solutions on the Document Management Enterprise Solution – Intellichief. As Information Delivery Manager with CDDFRS I was responsible for a team of 3 working within the ICT Section. The Information Delivery Team developed and maintained Microsoft Sharepoint 2010, the Fire Service’s Intranet and document management solution. The Service website was also developed by the Team utilising the Open Source content management platform Drupal 6; also providing support, development of multi-media solutions and facilitation of Incident Command Training exercises to assist the Fire Service Training section. We were also responsible for delivery of Mapping and Risk information to Mobile Data Terminals on Fire Appliances and Stations and developed procedures and processes for monitoring this function. I also conducted the planning and implementation of software upgrades to a number of systems in the Service such as Actuate’s BIRT Performance Scorecard software and Civica’s CFRMIS (Community Fire Risk Management Information System). I developed Standards and Best practice documentation in relation to the development of Data Mart’s within the Fire Service utilising SQL Server 2008R2 and Transact-SQL stored procedures. I developed and tested ETL (Extract Transform and Load) processes and advanced reporting for the Service via SQL Reporting Services.

I was employed as Senior Business Systems Analyst at Jacques Vert PLC, a major multi-branded fashion retailer, with specific responsibility for Retail and eCommerce Systems development and support. Required to perform a variety of functions - business analysis and systems design through to application and integration development, testing, documentation and systems support. I was primarily responsible for the purchase and implementation of Seeburgers’s B2B platform in 2008 for all systems integration projects within JV. I developed integration interfaces and processes with a new web platform (Salmon SAFE7 in 2010) as well as external Partners such as Debennhams.com/JLP/HOF and other host Stores and external Suppliers. I designed and developed mappings and interfaces utilising XML, CSV, traditional EDI and various bespoke formats as well as developing T-SQL storeprocedures, processes and SQL Agent jobs for integration to JV’s core ERP and other back-end systems. I facilitated requirements gathering workshops and documented 'As Is/To Be' processes and Gap Analysis in MS Visio.

I was responsible for the Business Intelligence platform and Warehouse barcode scanning systems for DCC , a £22M turnover Company with approx. 180 employees. I wrote and maintained T-SQL scripts relating to the ETL (extract/transform/load) process and administered and performance tuned SQL Server 2000/2005 databases. I also specified, designed and maintained end user reports and Key Performance Indicators using Microstrategy Business Intelligence. Intermec hand held devices were implemented along with middleware and Agility Systems Merlin product which ‘maps’ data into the Oracle JD Edwards World ERP system on the IBM iSeries (AS400). The project was implemented successfully (Picking, Packing, Goods Receipt, Stock Transfer and Cycle Counting) on time and to budget and brought process improvements to the Warehouse and Goods-In areas as well as cost savings in a number of areas and in particular the removal of the necessity for bi-annual stocktake. I joined DCC initially to implement a Business Intelligence solution for a major client. The solution incorporated a web-based customer front-end, ETL scripts (to interface with DCC’s Oracle JD Edwards ERP system), SQL Server 2000 Database and Microstrategy Business Intelligence software. I was trained in Microstrategy’s Business Intelligence software, SQL Server 2000 administration and Transactional SQL and after design, programming and testing, the software was rolled out to the initial Customer within 6 months. I was also part of the project team that successfully implemented TXT Demand Management software.

I scoped, budgeted and project managed the replacement of network servers with a fault tolerant solution which utilised new hardware from Dell & Cisco and software (Vinca Co-Standby Server) which mirrored data between two servers. Citrix Metaframe and Microsoft’s NT Terminal Server were implemented as a solution for an ageing and non-Y2K compliant population of PCs which were running Windows 3.11 and older versions of MS Office.
