Sole Python developer for a portfolio mean variance optimiser (MVO) for use in a robo-advisory product by Phillip Capital Malaysia. Involved in an MVO enhancement project using neural networks led by the National University of Singapore, with support from Phillip Securities Singapore. Independently created Python programs for scraping public news sources via simple CLI commands and GUI-enabled machine learning programs for ease of in-house use. Ran factor investing models and strategy back testing using Bloomberg data on Python, of which the results were used in the development of potential investment products, including a fund that raised millions of MYR upon creation. Provided technical support across departments in one-off extraction of Bloomberg, Lipper and other publicly available data, with additional data analysis and education on request. Independent creation and execution of research ideas, leading to added value through self-initiated projects which resulted in a publication within a SCOPUS-indexed journal - “Pseudorandom Proxy Testing of Internal Haptic Perception in Touch Styluses Intended for the Visually Impaired”.
