As Marketing Executive, I provide extensive support for all Cinema sites regarding local marketing opportunities, in order to promote all areas of the business and drive sales to each site. This includes local social media and consumer PR opportunities. This allows me to continue to be creative and every day is different - pushing me to work with fresh ideas and new processes and strategy.Due to my journalistic background in film, this role also allows me to take part in press junkets for new film releases and continue to keep a toe in that aspect of the industry. This year, I have been able to take control of local events across the UK, securing our presence at well-known events such as MCM Comic Cons and the Film and Comic Cons - both nationally and regionally. I also work with distributors to support the release of their latest films on a local level, with emphasis on wide releases and event cinema titles.

Within this role, I provided essential support to the PR & Social Media and Customer Experience Managers. I was able to liaise between individual cinemas, General managers and PR agency contacts in order to communicate and resolve local PR queries and issues. From the social media side, I instigated a system in order to support local cinemas with the promotion of new film releases through their social media channels in order to drive sales. I also provided support for the Social Media Executive by collating vital stats, results and learnings on a month-by-month basis.
