TENS OF THOUSANDS OF MICHIGAN STUDENTS ARE FAILING TO REACH BASIC LEVELS OF LITERACY AND MATH. MEC IS HERE TO CHANGE THAT. Michigan Education Corps replicates the Minnesota Reading and Math Corps Programs. MEC serves with students age three through grade eight, ensuring each one has a chance to succeed. We do this because the facts don’t lie—if a student is proficient in reading and math, the future looks a whole lot brighter for them. Since 2012, we’ve provided reading or math tutoring to over 15,000 Michigan children.

Undifferentiated educational approaches featuring static content limit the ability of students to learn. Current solutions labeled as adaptive education offer limited levels of adaptive assessment and simple branching protocols. Today, most educational programs simply “teach to the middle” rather than adapt to the needs of the learner. Learnatric is an adaptive system that utilizes machine learning to deliver a dynamic and personalized path for each student so they can learn at their own pace rather than being forced to adjust to a static lesson plan. Studies have shown that our approach can bring a student an average student to the 98th percentile of educational performance.
