      After graduating with a BA of Broadcast Journalism in 1999, Holly moved into print and worked as a freelance feature writer and photographer for NZ magazines and newspapers for 8 years before moving to the Middle East. Holly set up a corporate video business in Doha, Qatar and worked with many high-end clients including The Ritz Carlton, Qatar Financial Centre, Carnegie Mellon University and Qatar Marine Sports Federation. She also produced and directed a short observational doco on an Australian aerobics instructor who had converted to Islam and was now the fully veiled fourth wife of an Imam. In 2009 Holly moved to Bristol to pursue a career in factual television and over five years worked as a Shooting Director and Producer on a wide range of programmes at BBC Bristol and other independents including RDF, Maverick, Dragonfly, and Boomerang. Holly worked on numerous formatted factual series including food programmes with UK celebrity chefs Nigel Slater, Olly Smith and the Hairy Bikers. Her last two roles before leaving the U.K. were; Producer on ‘The Hairy Bikers Asian Adventure’ and Director on “One Born Every Minute”. Since returning home, Holly has line produced a 5-day shoot for BBC one-off documentary ‘The 7 Wonders of the Commonwealth,’ which aired on July 20th, 2014 and was watched by an audience of 4.6 million. She’s also produced and directed four sequences for BBC Natural History Unit production “New Zealand – Earth’s Mythical Islands” – a 3 x one-hour series which aired in the U.K. this year and is set to screen in New Zealand early 2017. Holly has produced and co-directed a number of music videos, corporate films for local tourism companies and shot an experimental documentary exploring Nelson’s Haven. Holly aims to establish herself in the NZ documentary and factual TV industry, and also offer her experience as both a journalist, shooting director and producer to visiting productions to Queenstown as a line producer / fixer.
