In my first graduate position, I worked across multiple departments for Oxford Lieder during their move to an online festival. My focusses were mainly on digital marketing, social media, CRM and membership admin, and general logistics including scheduling, writing and processing contracts, and liaising directly with artists and agents ahead of recitals. • Festival Director
      • Apr 2019 - May 2020

Managing Director for the UK's largest student-run arts festival. I oversee the day to day running of the festival, coordinating both logistically and creatively. With my team of over 40 committee members, I am responsible for a large budget (>£10k) and work with both student and professional companies. This year we are particularly excited to welcome YesYesNoNo to the festival, bringing their show The Accident Did Not Take Place, following its critically acclaimed run at The Pleasance, Edinburgh Fringe 2019. • Head of Press
      • May 2018 - May 2019

As Head of Press at On The Rocks, my responsibilities lay in the press coverage of the festival. During my time in the role, I worked with the corporate communications department at The University of St Andrews to gain coverage in various local newspapers, and also secured an interview slot on BBC Radio Scotland! I managed a team of press officers to coordinate the logistics of reviews and previews of festival events, and was pleased to have lots of interest both from student and professional publications, including a review in The Skinny. • Jul 2019 - Aug 2019

6 weeks working in the fast-paced environment of the press office at The Pleasance Theatre during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2019. During my time at Pleasance, I helped organise and run the theatre's Press Launch, worked closely with the BBC to coordinate, amongst other things, filming for their show 'BBC Edinburgh Nights with Nish Kumar' and liaised with a multitude of different press outlets for reviews. I also worked closely with a number of arts industry PR and Management agencies, such as Chloé Nelkin Consulting, Avalon, Gaby Jerrard PR, Mark Borkowski PR and Cornership PR. Myself and my colleagues were particularly ecstatic when Pleasance acts swept the board for the Dave Comedy Awards Nominations and won the awards for both Best Show and Best Newcomer. Working in the office during the subsequent press frenzy was one of the most exciting moments of the festival. I also gained valuable knowledge about the intricacies of working in a busy professional theatre, and have useful experience in using the box office software VIA / Red 61. Show less

      • Apr 2019 - Jun 2019

Production Assistant and PR Lead for Byre Opera, the professional opera company of the University of St Andrews, during their productions of Riders to the Sea by Vaughan Williams and Cupboard Love by Madeleine Dring. I helped with day to day management of the company, and worked with the university's corporate communications department to provide press coverage, including writing press releases. We managed to generate a significant amount of coverage in industry specific magazines, as well as having interviews on STV News, reviews and photos in The Scottish Times and The Scotsman, and promotion via the Classic FM Facebook Page. I was also in charge of all digital marketing for the productions. Show less

During my time in the role, I ran surveys to gain understanding of student satisfaction with the administration of the university, helped to pioneer a buddy mentoring scheme with the university's centre for academic and professional professional development, and campaigned for an increase in the amount of works by female composers performed by university music groups.
