Since Holly joined The 401 Foundation she has been one of the major driving forces behind the success of the charity, helping to develop operational strategy and implement key policies and fundraising initiatives. COVID-19 has impacted our charity massively and its for this reason only that we are unable to keep Holly, I honestly would jump at the chance of working with her again. The Bristol 500 is not a race, but a new way of giving locally. Members pay a small regular amount, which collectively turns into a larger monthly amount. Members are then able to nominate a cause close to their hearts in the BS postcode. Those nominations are shortlisted and members vote on who gets the money each month. Nominations roll over until they either receive the money or all withdrawn. It could be a group providing meals for vulnerable people, equipment for a local walking group or to support a family or individual starting again after suffering domestic abuse. If you know someone in need and it’s not for religious or political reasons, it will be considered. Inspired by Joe Sim's 500 Reasons, we want to find ways to connect and appreciate each other in our local communities. We also appreciate that times are hard right now - and every now and then, we all need a little help.

Bristol Together Championships (BTC) is working in partnership with Bristol City Community Trust (BCCT) and will be an annual programme for primary schools (year 5) that culminates in a one-day tournament. The unique aspect of the programme is that a school can only enter by twinning with another school serving children from a very different ethnic, class, faith or geographical background and forming a joint team. We will invite schools with pupils representing the diverse communities (race, class and residential status) that make up the city of Bristol and its surrounding areas to include schools that are on the North Somerset and South Gloucester/ Bristol Borders.

The Bristol Young Heroes Awards celebrates young people and gives the opportunity to recognise the achievements of young people on a local basis. The awards will be an annual Gala Dinner and Awards ceremony partnering with schools, youth workers, churches, charities and local businesses to bring the community together in celebrating young people who make a difference or achievements beyond their circumstances. The awards are open to anyone aged 11 – 19 years old. A judging panel will then choose 3 as nominees for each of the 10 award categories to attend the event, with the winners being announced on the night.

LoveBristol Festival was a week long event in August 2006, it was split into these two parts: Part 1: Community Projects Hundred of people from the region, across the UK and the globe came to Bristol to make it a safer, stronger, cleaner and kinder city. Part 2: Weekend Event LoveBristol threw a FREE Event at Bristol's Hengrove Park. Featuring: on the main stage - Bands DJ's, Live MC's, Breakdancers and local talent. There was also a Family Interactive Zone with Games, Face Painting, puppet show and lots of fun for all the family.
