•Shadowed a barrister in mediations, court hearings and for one day of a court trial in Birmingham.•Executed a marketing strategy for the chambers to promote a settlement agreement service, which involved conversing with firms via telephone. I’m currently working on a chambers social media strategy and implementing it.•Underwent a work experience day based on expert evidence. This involved understanding to the ‘Cresswell’ Principles of Expert Evidence through the use of worksheets and discussion. Following on from this, there was a mock trial. Supported a barrister on a 4 day mini-pupillage at Manchester Civil Justice Centre in October, including the meetings prior to it. Work consisted of devilling, creating the trial bundle and writing trial notes.
