I worked with grade 8-9 students regarding personal and social issues. I assisted grade 10-12 students regarding personal, social issues as well as IB course selection, career exploration and university guidance. With my high school counseling colleague, we developed and curated resources in consultation with grade level lead advisors to support the weekly secondary advising program from grades 6-12 to ensure the topics were relevant and meeting students' diverse needs. We implemented the use of Bridge U to track university matriculation data, and have substantially increased the number of university and college visitors to ISPP. Externally, I participated in Bridge U's counsellor advisory board. Show less

I started working at Ouareau in the summers of 1990-1993. I worked at other summer camps and returned in 1995,96, 99, and for shorter term contracts into the 2000s to accommodate my fulltime teaching schedule.Over the years, I learned to be a confident, competent and empathetic staff member and leader. I had a variety of roles over the years: Counsellor, Section Director, Counsellor in Training director, Canoeing Instructor, Office Manager, Driver, Archivist. I developed my French language skills, programming skills for large and small groups, outdoor living skills (canoe trips) and an appreciation and realization of the importance of being your authentic self and empowering others (fellow staff and campers) to help be their best selves.
