  I currently work as a Research Assistant on a couple of projects with multiple members of staff at Northumbria University.With With Dr Lee Shepherd and Dr Liz Sillence, we are working with the organisation Athena Swan to investigate student perceptions of factors they believe influence equality and diversity issues within the department. With Professor Pamela Briggs, we are working in partnership with academics at the universities of Bath, Cranfield and Portsmouth to better understand online security dynamics within households to better define the concept of cyber-resilience.In these roles, I have the responsibility of leading participant recruitment, data collection and qualitative transcription.It is anticipated that these research projects will be submitted to academic journals for publication.

  As a Demonstrator in Psychology, it is my responsibility to lead my own cohort of undergraduate students in their research experience modules, providing support, guidance and assistance with their research projects. I regularly engage with my student's work, helping them to plan, understand and execute psychological studies as well as teaching and educating them on the fundamental aspects of psychology research, both quantitative and qualitative. It is my job to critically review and appraise the submitted reports of my students, providing clear feedback and evaluation in order to encourage improvements in their future work. I work closely with other demonstrators and lecturers, regularly engaging in training and meetings in order to ensure that my marking is standardised and that I'm working to the highest standard.

  In this job role, it is my responsibility to connect with struggling Maths and English students at a GCSE level, and provide students with extra online tutoring and guidance in order to improve grades. As well as this, I provide students from Years 9-11 with guidance and help in higher education opportunities and progression pathways. I would often attend scheduled sessions in schools, working with students to help them better understand their aspirations and decide which of the many different pathways would best suit them in achieving these goals. I always adhered to safeguarding policies throughout my work and regularly communicated with my superiors and other mentors. I have also been involved with the creation of materials for students, such as writing blog posts and creating visual aids. To add, I have occasionally engaged with data entry.

  In this job role under the supervision of Lord and Lady Halifax, it was my responsibility to maintain the highest standard of cleanliness in the residence and assist in the preparations for evening dinner parties and guests' overnight stays. I would waitress for all occasions, from dinner parties to breakfasts to celebrations, working alongside an extensive team of butlers, maids, and cooks. I would work independently on weekends, and successfully managed my weekly working arounds around my GCSE and A Level studies. I met a wide variety of people in my job role, including serving for the previous The Archbishop of York John Sentamu, members of the royal family and members of the Rothchild's family. Towards the end of my time in this job role, my responsibilities increased to helping in the training of new staff members to ensure they worked to the highest standard and leading a team to complete the tasks at hand.
