  -Established Divi Resorts sourcing office in China for purchase of building materials, furniture, bathroom hardware, lighting fixtures, decor, F&B service equipment, and other hospitality operating supplies. -Work independently and effectively as Divi's sole China-based employee, executing the company's business interests in Asia. -Facilitate communication between owners, general managers, design/engineering staff, and suppliers to realize Divi Resort's vision for guest experience. -Drive down costs by developing vendor alternatives in every category and through persistent price negotiation. -Work closely with Divi's logistics team to maximize container utilization on shipments out of China and to ensure on-schedule delivery. -Support Divi's sustainability initiatives by sourcing energy efficient light fixtures, water-saving appliances, and power generation investments including wind and solar. -Maintain detailed and quickly accessible records on vendors, invoices, payments, and shipping documents. -Seek out, evaluate, and recommend new products through trade show attendance, specialized wholesale markets, and online sourcing platforms. -Maintain detailed records on suppliers, order tracking, and document collection for all purchasing activities. -Serve as customer liaison for factory visits, quality assessment, and bilingual supplier communication. -Ad hoc sourcing on additional Grace Brothers projects including telecom hardware components, pharmaceuticals, biofuel inputs, and water treatment equipment.
