  As a Vice-Prime and Discipline, my main duty is to serve as the second-in command of the Prime who is the overseer of all portfolio’s and running of the residence. I also have the obligation of maintaining order and discipline in all the leadership structures of the residence and the residence as a whole by mediating in conflict situations and ensuring that that the behavior of all the members is kept in check.

  The P3 mentorship programme is an initiative designed by the University of the Free State to assist first year students to adapt to the institution academically and also to ensure that they cope with the challenges that a typical first year student would face at a tertiary institution. During my term as a P3 mentor I had a couple of first year students assigned to me which I had to mentor for the whole year in ensuring that they cope with the challenges they face, whether is be academic challenges or personal issues.
