  Clinical responsibility : -Assist the therapist in the process of rehabilitation using designated treatment⯑programmes, as delegated by the Therapist -To use effective means of verbal and non-verbal communication to patients who⯑may have barriers to understanding and communicating -Maintain accurate daily records in the Care Plans using Therapy specific paperwork and templates -To ensure patients' privacy and dignity are respected at all times -To gain verbal or written consent from patients before each treatment session.⯑This will require an assessment of understanding at the start of each patient contact. -To recognise barriers to rehabilitation eg anxiety, low motivation, and use⯑effective means to overcome them -To liaise with members of the multi-disciplinary team and participate in team⯑meetings -To liaise effectively and positively with patients and their relatives to enhance the rehabilitative process and prepare for discharge -To plan and prioritise you patient workload -To monitor and maintain the stock of therapeutic equipment, placing orders to⯑replenish when necessary Organisational responsibilities : -To have a clear schedule for prioritising organisational responsibilities with⯑patient priorities -To be the first point of contact for the Therapist when required e.g on the phone or face to face -To attend handovers and weekly MDT meetings -To input data for daily, weekly or monthly audits and statistics -To be flexible with your time and effort to help meet patient and service needs -To ensure the areas of work are clean and tidy -To be responsible for the safe and correct use of therapy aids and equipment used by patients , ensuring no broken or otherwise unclean or hazardous equipment is used - To take and additional role required by the team Show less
