I worked with Hing at Uber ATG in the Autonomous vehicle development project for almost three years. During his tenure here, he wore many hats spanning across the complete systems engineering V Model, including developing user scenarios, curating system models, defining technical software requirements, system architecture, and verification-validation methodologies. Hing brought in technical expertise from his prior experience of working with complex spacecraft and defense aerospace products, into our team. His biggest strength is his ability to understand a complex problem, breaking it down into a set of smaller problems, prioritizing them and finding creative solutions, and executing on each one of them relentlessly. Hing is very strong in vehicle dynamics and physics-based requirements development and his analytical skills helped the team immensely to accelerate our efforts. As a technical lead and subject matter expert, Hing provided valuable guidance to the team on the system requirements and architecture development project. He never hesitates to take leadership effort and individual contributor roles, to solve any gaps in the project execution, throughout the product development lifecycle. He has been a great professional mentor to many of us, including myself, and helped us grow in our specific roles and responsibilities. Hing is a great asset for any organization looking for a Technical Leader who can develop and bring-out a complex safety-critical product to the market. I wish him the best.
