In 1993, I had the great fortune of having my first experience in a professional sales enviornment working for Hilton Rabb. As someone who was very new, unsure of his abilities with not a lot of belief that I could be successful in the retail automotive industry, Hilton was always encouraging and always believing. I remember vividly a time when I considered leaving the business after only six months. Hilton saw that I was teetering on quiting so in his only encouraging way he said to me, "Son, you need to give yourself a chance to succeed. If you quit now, you'll be quitting on your family, but mostly you'll be quitting on yourself. So suck it up ... you're gonna fine." That conversation saved me and what eventually became a pretty awesome career. Words can't describe my appreciation for what he did.
