I know Rabbi Lester, personally and professionally, I have observed him in his work role in the community as a teacher and rabbi. I have witnessed him in his family role as the father of three young children and most important role as a husband. My opinion of a well rounded man is one that can juggle all these roles, keep them balanced and stay humble in the process. In today's busy world with it's challenges, I am sad to witness many men fail at this and compromise one or more of their roles. Hillel Lester has the qualities of a man that can deal with the challenges of being a rabbi, a spiritual teacher, a mentor and a solid family man. I feel that the new center The Shalev Center will be a huge success and the vision behind it coming from Rabbi Hillel and his wife will continue to be a role model for others in the future.
