Applied chemical methods and research to assess and solve problems concerning production of nutritional supplements from geothermal wastewater.Conducted scientific research on minerals and their effect on human health, and applied chemical methods to use the research in developing four new products. In this research, evaluation on the diet of the Icelandic population, chemical properties of the minerals, regulations on minerals in supplements and tolerable upper and lower intake of the minerals contributed to the theoretical development of the products. The theoretical research and chemical knowledge were applied to develop four products that met the requirements from geoSilica.
