  The Lights Up team have been running theatre programs in Vancouver since 2006, creating Lights Up Musical Theatre Schools in 2016. We provide weekly musical theatre classes, after school programs and week-long seasonal camps for children and teens aged between 3 and 18 years of age.We continue to grow as Vancouver’s premier children’s theatre program, with more than 1,100 children enrolled in Lights Up Theatre programs in the Lower Mainland each week of the school term, and hundreds more attending our yearly Spring Break and Summer Camps.As the Founder and Artistic Director of Lights Up, I lead the creative side of the business – producing ideas for new classes and developing program material, directing the theatre schoolteachers, and driving the overall strategic and artistic direction of Lights Up.One of my passions is to intimately understand the local market we work in – such as the logistics of the city, familiarity with its diverse and vibrant neighbourhoods, and ultimately discovering new venues that can support children across these areas of Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.With a mission to be open, approachable and offer the best program in the market, we have built the business from the ground up – transitioning a brand new concept in Canada to a leading institution providing cutting edge theatre programs for children every week.The classes are professional, structured and welcoming to everyone, regardless of background.
