As HR Business Support Coordinator, I provided end-to-end support to managers throughout the recruitment process with a focus on unionized positions. I completed resume screening, created interview packages, ensuring questions were aligned with position selection criteria, participated in interviews as a panel member, performed reference checks and candidate debriefs. As subject matter expert, I led competitive recruitment processes that were defensible and transparent ensuring candidates were selected in a manner free of bias or discrimination. When required I participated in alternate dispute resolution meetings and grievance management.

The Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development (MAESD) is the ministry of the government of Ontario responsible for administration of plans and policies relating to postsecondary education and skills training. I used Human Resources Information Systems to support succession planning and staffing decisions.

Tourism Richmond is a non-profit marketing organization promoting the vibrant and beautiful City of Richmond as a destination to travelers and organizations that influence travel. With a primary mandate of enhancing awareness about the City through sales and marketing initiatives, as well as outstanding visitor services, Tourism Richmond's ultimate goal is to increase economic activity related to tourism for the City of Richmond and its stakeholders. Over my two summers employed as a Seasonal Visitor Information Counsellor, I provided strong customer service and promotion of members and their products. My daily interactions with clients left a positive impression with visitors from around the world. This will forever be one of my favourite roles!
