There I worked as Night Manager and was responsible for the entire nights shift and hotel audit. When I started in the hotel they changed owner two times in a short period of time, which was very interesting to experience. The hotel was upgraded to a hip and luxurious hotel and restaurant, with low change of staff during this transition which created a good band with myself and the hotelstaff. • Director and co-Owner of ReceptieService@Night VoF.
      • Feb 2003 - Oct 2011

Since the year 2003 Mete Lagewaard, Sami Dabo and myself started a detaching agency named ReceptieService@Night with its office in Amsterdam. There I was responsible for the daily office, finance, administration, Sales and Marketing, Human Resource, Personnel Accounting, and Business Relations. I also worked night shifts in new hotels to set up procedures and to get acquainted with the hotel staff. Also training personnel and familiarize them with ReceptieService@Night and its philosophy was also part of the job. Here some of our, their philosophy aspects; - To properly run the Night Audit and file reports to all necessary departments, - To properly book all financial handlings, daily reports and take responsibility over the cashier. - To ensure the safety of all guests and employees of the hotel during the night. - Living up to expectations from guests and make them feel appreciated. - Taking care of the level of service from the hotel and maintaining it. - Attend to all personnel training, meetings and events. The company was at its top level in the year 2005 until 2009 with approximately thirty receptionists, five duty managers, legal advisor and outsourced accounting on the payroll. The agency detached Night Managers, Duty Managers and Night Auditors in many hotels in the Netherlands mainly in the three, four and five star segment.

I started myself as Night Manager for the first year. There I was responsible for the entire night shift. Also many banquets and events took place in one of the many famous historic banqueting rooms from the hotel. That's why all nights were challenging but very interesting for an all time Night Auditor, like myself. I started myself as Night Manager for the first year. The hotel was looking for a Night Manager, but could not succeed to insource this. Therefore my company was hired to detach a Night Manager. Because of my experience with the Marriott Hotel, I was the one to take the position. There I was responsible for the entire night shift and night audit. Also two receptionist were under my supervision as well as the administration and cashiering of all the outlets. I reported daily to the Front Office Manager. Also major banqueting events in the ‘Koepel Kerk' were busy and challenging shifts. The work in the Renaissance Hotel was one of the nicest hotels I worked with, with a full Night Audit, accounting and interesting guests.
