It's rare to be assigned to a mentor that genuinely cares about not just getting through the course but setting you up for success. Justine was my mentor in Designlab as I started my career change from marketing to UX design. Justine is always very reliable and knowledgeable and I'm lucky to have her by my side as I make this daunting career change! It's admirable to see how well she's able to balance everything in her life and I'm grateful to have her as an amazing mentor!

Justine mentored me for only a couple of days, but wow I am so grateful for those hours we spent together. I reached out to Justine as I was prepping my portfolio presentation for an upcoming interview. Before I worked with her, my presentation was ~5% done. After her, 80%. IT WAS NOT EASY. Justine really cracked the whip on me, I'm not gonna lie. But the fact that she took time out of her day to work with me, show me examples of her work, and explained to me the why/how of presentation -- you know Justine cares about getting you RESULTS. Though I didn't end up presenting the case study in that interview, I would definitely say that I am able to speak to my work at a greater level because of the encouragement & reflection that Justine had given me.
