For over seven years now, I have worked as Rainforest Biome Supervisor at the Eden Project. Together with a team of four Horticulturalists, we maintain and develop a "captive rain forest" housed in on of the largest conservatories in the world.I work along side my team of gardeners on a daily basis in the Rain Forest biome; maintaining and developing exhibits.My duties include; daily/weekly/ monthly management of team work schedules, Tree health and safety protocol and works co-ordination, co-ordinating pest and disease monitoring, co-ordination of phenology recording, soft landscape works, volunteer and student supervision, team CPD, training, appraisals, plant propagation protocols, organising rope access work, working with team manager in biome and exhibit development.I help to teach on the Eden practical Gardening certificate- Soils and composting module and have a place in the Eden sustainable horticulture Group.
