Adira Foundation Received 3 International awards for our project from the UN, the Royal Family of the UK & Stony Brook University. In India, one in five menstruating girls living in poverty in rural India drop out of school when they start their period—that's 10 million every single year. To combat this, I founded Adira Foundation in 2019. Adira is a youth-powered nonprofitable organization working towards menstrual equity for ALL through service & awareness camps. Introducing conventional pads to women who have never used menstrual products. Making menstruation more sustainable by providing menstrual cups and cloth pads in areas where women are familiar with menstrual products. Providing sanitary packets at $0.013 in remote villages with no medical stores. We have worked extensively in remote villages, urban slums, rural areas, tribal areas, rape victims, domestic violence victims and orphanages. Team of 18 high school and college students from across the world. _______________________________________________________________________ Impact Generated: - 1,07,700+ sanitary products distributed across the country. - 25,000+ menstruators helped and educated about menstrual health and hygiene. - 75 camps were conducted across 16 states. - Raised $1,552 and got 44,600+ pads sponsored by NIINE. - Collaborated with 30 Nonprofitable Organizations and Non-governmental Organizations across the country. - Raising awareness about period poverty and menstrual health through social media platforms. - Our podcast: Let's Talk. Period. -We conducted a healthcare checkup, provided ration kits, and sanitary pads donation drive for Afghan Refugees. Show less

      - "Hazel is goofy, a little crazy but a loving person who’s on a crazy rollercoaster ride of her life. It all starts from a summer trip in the woods where she meets a tall, brawny and handsome guy named Oliver. Who's eyes were a picture of beautiful Sand dunes. The summer trip doesn’t end there. It takes them on an unexpected journey of life that starts from Hazel moving to New York and Oliver starts his life in New Zealand. Hazel’s ambition of becoming businesswomen never stopped her from working hard day and night. While Oliver moved in the hope of playing cricket for the New Zealand team some day. Destiny takes them to unexpected experiences of life which challenges them on every path. Fasten your seat belts; you are now on a rollercoaster ride called UN CUENTO. A novella about love, friendship, and thriller is set in the middle of the 90s, it will keep you entertained and hooked right till the end." - While being stuck at home during Covid-19 I published a novella as an ebook on Amazon Kindle called: UN CUENTO~ a tale Had the amazing opportunity to work on a book with the Director of the Simons Centre of Geometry and Physics (https://lnkd.in/em6HGxzz) Show less

    • Professional Dancer
      • Aug 2016 - Jul 2023

Like a lot of girls in India, I started dancing at a very young age. It was like love at first sight. First day of class and I knew this thing was going to be with me for a long time. Dancing for me was like therapy. While everyone would skip classes during exams I'll make sure I'm always there during exams. It gave me a sense of peace and calm. I was National Level Bharatnatyam Dancer in India and I continue that at Stony Brook University. Embracing the dance form from my home country is divine and a great experience in the United States.
