In this practical and varied role, I'll oversee all sustainability-related issues and projects of the Foundation to further increase the positive impact on the environment and society. These include teaching sustainability to students, leading sewing and upcycling workshops, working with the farm and developing community projects. In addition to these practical initiatives, I'll also work to record the impact of the organisation and compile it into an annual report. Aug 2023 - Sep 2023
Ocean Uprise by Parley for the Oceans is a 6-week online programme that connects about 20 different youth from around the world. Our common goal? To support the protection of the oceans. In three weekly seminars, we were supported to develop and implement a project by week 5. I am proud to have succeeded in developing "Tas Jaring Sumba", which means fish net bag. Inspired by fishing nets, these reusable bags aim to reduce the amount of single-use plastic bags on the island, which all end… Show more Ocean Uprise by Parley for the Oceans is a 6-week online programme that connects about 20 different youth from around the world. The 6-month end-of-master internship in the sustainability team of Kering allowed me to continue my previous research on durability. Through interactions with the other team members and the different brands that are part of the group, I developed an adequate durability strategy for the group ready to be implemented. Furthermore, I assisted my manager, Sophie Bonnier (Head of Environmental Excellence and Circularity) in various related projects covering topics such as eco-design, sustainable… Show more The 6-month end-of-master internship in the sustainability team of Kering allowed me to continue my previous research on durability. I assisted both men- and womenswear sales teams throughout the (virtual) showroom for the new SS22 summer collection. Furthermore, I conducted independent research on sustainability, exploring some solutions that could fit the brand DNA. Contribution Project Détox Ton Stock
-
Jan 2021 - Aug 2021
A wonderful project that I have been part of since January. Renaissance stands for revival: the people who work there are given a second chance, while they also use clothes that would otherwise be discarded to make new couture creations. During my first master's year, I worked with a team of four on a new part of their organisation: Détox Ton Stock. A B2B service that helps companies upcycle their unsold stock. The emphasis is still on craftsmanship, but now for RTW collections. A wonderful project that I have been part of since January.
