  De Katwijkse Zeeverkenners is een scoutingvereniging waarin ruim 300 jongeren actief zijn. Er zijn groepen die elke vrijdagavond en zaterdag te vinden zijn op ’t Troephuis en het water eromheen uiteraard. Bij de Bestevaerwacht ben ik enkele jaren zowel lid als leidingslid geweest. De groep bestaat uit 37 leden in de leeftijd van 11 t/m 16 jaar met een leidingteam van 9 leidingsleden. Het is een gemengde wacht en hebben zowel jongens als meisjes. Als leidinggevende geef je de jongeren instructies in roeien, zeilen, navigatie, touwen knopen, EHBO, koken. Eigenlijk alles wat met water en overleven te maken heeft. Daarnaast verzorg je als leidingslid het vrijdagavond en zaterdagprogramma en organiseer je instructieweekenden en kampen, waaronder het 2 weken durende zomerkamp. Show less
