I was initially responsible for monthly forecasting and budgeting for a small business unit within the Dimension Data MEA group. The forecasting and budgeting process includes analysis of financials, reporting and presenting to executives, inputting the forecast and budget into the system and communicating on a regular basis with the Sales teams, billing teams and project managers to ensure we meet our forecast. Using Salesforce to create and pull reports as a means to ensure the forecasting is more accurate. Since then my responsibilities have increased to forecasting on a monthly basis for a larger Business unit that constitutes a large portion of the Intelligent Workplace Go To Market. My responsibilities were also to ensure that the revenue is recognised appropriately making sure that revenue is accrued for accordingly and ensuring the WIP gets reversed correctly on a monthly basis based on billings. ERP and reporting systems I have experience on: *SAP GT *SAP 4 HANA *Salesforce Reporting systems I have experience on: *BPC Show less

Although my SAPRO 4 month secondment turned out to be a virtual one due to Covid. I still had exposure to various sectors that I did not have during my articles. I was placed at a top-10 firm within the Detroit, Minneapolis office and I remotely worked US hours from South Africa. I received an overall high performer rating throughout my 4 months secondment and tried to share my knowledge with my peer group also working at the same Host Firm as much as I could. I had the privilege to have worked with more complex areas, such as: *ASC 606 - where the company I audited also had waterfall revenue and various deferred portions of revenue. They also classified their revenue between highly variable and non-highly variable, since the client deviated from the normal US GAAP rule for VSOE revenue that needs to be measured at fair value, which in turn resulted in a difference. *ASC 842 - For a smaller scale company I worked on, they first implemented ASC 842 (in IFRS terms IFRS 16) for the first time within the financial year. I had to justify the incremental borrowing rate of the leases and report on the disclosure thereof. *PPP Loans and SBA EIDL - Due to Covid, the PPP loans were prevalent in all the companies I had audited within the 4 month span. PPP Loans are Payment Protection Program Loans that the SBA issued to help companies during the Covid period. These loans are not seen as Government Grants in terms of US GAAP and we had to calculate the re-payability for these loans as well as ensure disclosure was done in line with US GAAP. *Financial Statement and Disclosure - We had to compile the Annual Financial Statements for our clients and ensure they adhere to disclosure requirements of US GAAP. *ASC 805 (Business Combinations) we had an entity that acquired four companies within its financial year. For these entities we needed to test management forecasting, NPV calculations to value the companies and work through Due Diligence reports. Show less

I was initially employed at Ernst and Young Inc to complete my three-year SAICA articles, where I had the privilege to be on various clients in various industries within the Consumer Industries Group Africa (CIGA) sector. My responsibilities migrated to team management, client engagement and engagement management. I was recognised for Rewards and Recognition for my work within the CIGA sector at EY and I have achieved the highest rating (Noteworthy) throughout my articles. Learning and Development Side:I partook in being a presenter for the EY Business Experience Programme (BEP), where EY selects the top candidates to do their articles at EY. I was an EY Canvas Champion - which means I helped to educate EY trainees on the audit software.I was a table facilitator at Core Skills, which is the mandatory audit training presented by the firm.
