I am a senior member of a circuitry design team for long range 3D Ladar/Camera Facial recognition/detection systems and 3D Speckle Camera database enrollment systems. • Designed 10 channel 1550nm PIN diode receiver front end using trans-impedance amplifiers, 9 order elliptical filters, and subsequent Low noise 70 Mhz IF chain for sampling at 160Mhz using 14Bit Linear Technology AD Converters. • Designed DAC controlled WB low noise Laser drivers for linearization of chirped 1550nm DFB lasers. • Designed Eye safe and overdrive protection/diagnostic circuitry for DFB laser. • Designed full bridge low noise TEC PID controller for DFB laser modules. • Designed remote Canon EOS Camera lens controller using TIMPS430 type micro-controller for aperture and focus control via a C mount attached to high definition Point-grey camera. • Designed test fixtures for manufacturing in order to adjust/calibrate/pre-qualify DFB lasers for chirped linearization prior to installation into the 3D recognition system. • Assisted in design and analysis of 3D and Enrollment systems SMPS. • Designed High voltage speckle flash and control circuitry. • Used ORCAD as the Schematic front end where net lists are imported into the Mentor Graphics PADS layout tool. I used PADS for all design PCB layouts and interfaced with PCB fabrication/assembly service providers. • I have several years of experience using different PCB layout tools.

This includes separate discrete MIL-STD 461 compliant filtering, discrete input reverse polarity/low voltage detection circuitry, inrush current limiting, and nuclear event detection/shutdown circuitry. • Designed Coaxial LASER Hysteric current controlled power supplies and TEC controllers having integrated over temperature shutdown and programmable current. • Designed Coaxial Laser seed PFN (Pulse Forming Network) and driver for integration into the 14 pin butterfly package DFB (Distributed Feedback) diode assembly. • Contributing member of the design team for the development of the GDRS Ladar analog interface, time of flight ranging, and readout ASIC. Designed ASIC substrate and wire bonding packaging topology for a .8mm pitch 289 pin 15mm x 15mm PBGA. • Designed a multitude of test circuitry and test fixtures in support of ASIC functional testing. • Designed TIA (trans-impedance amplifier) and CFA (current feedback amplifier) APD interface on for minimizing dark current along with reducing noise while sacrificing some Input Bandwidth. • Designed high speed Ladar 16:2 multiplexing receiver, PECL comparator detection and for TDC (time data conversion) chips. • Designed APD noise envelope detection circuitry to dynamically control a Low noise HV power supply for InGaAs APD array.
