  • Serving as Housing Specialist and providing housing and supportive services for an average of 65 clients in the Emery Work Bed Program (EWBP). • Conducting housing eligibility assessments for assessing client’s needs, referring to appropriate resources and following up on delivery of services. • Collaborating with The Community Partnership, DC Department of Human Services, DC's Coordinated Entry and other non-profit housing providers or partners on behalf of clients regarding delivery of services. • Assuring housing readiness of clients by facilitating client workshops, groups and individual sessions on life skills and information needed to acquire and maintain independent permanent housing. • Creating and maintaining a housing database linking tenants to apartments or single room occupancies and promoting program to potential clients and landlords. • Completing required documentation including, but not limited to housing plans, and client records. • Providing specialized housing services to other staff members through clinical team meetings. • Tracking housing placements and conducting a 90-day follow up of clients placed into subsidized or fair market rent permanent housing. • Utilizing excellent skills in oral, written and interpersonal communications as well as implementing appropriate empathy for clients. • Maintaining a program goal of 85% placement rate in moving clients toward self-sufficiency. • Inputting statistical data in HMIS on housing and supportive services provided to clients. • Providing monthly status reports to Program Director for submittal of reports to the Community Partnership, the Transitional Housing Program’s monitoring agency.
