Henry is an exceptionally talented UI artist and visual designer who I had the pleasure of working with during the servicing of Angry Birds Transformers and Angry Birds Go. Henry has an great positive attitude, a real hunger to produce the absolute best and provides a meticulous quality in his work. Having a blend of 2D art skills, VFX and a solid technical understanding, I’m excited to see how Henry's career develops as he will be an asset to any studio he graces in the future.

Henry Harling has helped us organising our contribution to the Cambridge Science Festival by designing and programming two fantastic computer games, which have been played thousands of times. The feedback of the visitors was extremely positive. He was perfect for the job, as he is creative, original hard-working. I can recommend him to companies that design and distribute computer games.

During my time at Funsolve I have broadened my skill set by learning more about a console development pipeline, how to build UI and UI logic with Blueprints in Unreal engine. I have also gained more experience with VFX in Untiy using the particle system and Shader Graph. I supported the team in implementing the PC and online UI for Jumanji the video game and was involved in several other projects. At Full Fat I worked on an experienced team supporting the design and development of the 2D graphics and interface. I created the UI and many of the effects for Talking Tom Jetski 2, Marshawn Lynch Pro Football, Spin a Zoo, Blocky Pirates, and Blocky BaseBall. It has been great to broaden my 2D art skills, creating my own art styles as well as working on existing ones, I have also worked on marketing materials for several of these games, creating icons, logos and screen shots. I have become proficient with implementing efficient screens and UI atlases in Unity and creating animations and screen transitions to improve the game feel and UX. Show less

During my time at Exient as a junior UI artist, I worked within an agile development live ops team using Kanban. I supported the servicing of Angry Birds GO! and Angry Birds Transformers. I used SWOT and competitive analysis to design intuitive wire frames. I worked closely with designers and programmers to implement new features that required new UI elements and screens. I developed new art styles for bespoke features to fit into the existing game and I also reworked existing screens. As well as creating the UI art I used XML to build the screens and created animations and particle effects. During my time at Exient I improved my skills as an artist and I worked closely with the art director and UX director to develop an in depth knowledge of effective approaches to UI and VFX for fun F2P UX with better retention. Project: Designing entertaining video games for the Cambridge Science Festival 2014 to help teach Mitochondrial Science. Role: During this internship I developed a good grounding and working knowledge in several key areas such as game design, level design, character design, testing, and developing efficient applications to run on multiple devices. The job has demanded that I work independently (although I equally enjoy working in a team), be self-motivated and manage my time within the projects delivery date. Experience: The Science Festival was a big success and the games were very popular. I was there on the day to help out, which was a thrilling experience, seeing hundreds of children and adults enjoying my games. I helped to set up and close down the event as well as helping to explain the relation between the true science behind the games, when people needed a little extra, or forgot to read the background information entirely in their haste to play and enjoy these games. • Jogger (GRAPHIC ARTS AWARD - 2nd YEAR)

After working in the Care home and saving to go on a big trip. I spent most of my time away in Australia. While living in Sydney I worked to support myself and extend my time away, this only added to the experience of exploring the other side of the world. I enjoyed working as a Jogger and developing my teamwork and interpersonal skills. After working in the Care home and saving to go on a big trip. I spent most of my time away in Australia. Support/Care worker at Zero Three Care homes Working in the care home for a year, was an incredibly fulfilling experience that I thoroughly enjoyed. Although tough, it really helped me develop my character, confidence, and many crucial skills, particularly teamwork, written and verbal communication, leadership, negotiating, interpersonal sensitivity, action planning, stress tolerance, and flexibility skills. It was a real eye opening experience. Support/Care worker at Zero Three Care homes Working in the care home for a year, was an incredibly fulfilling experience that I thoroughly enjoyed.
