I was brought on board by Henry to direct the delivery of a major transformation programme - migrating the Telegraph Content Management System that was in place for over a decade onto a new platform, in a bit over a year, while redesigning the user experience not only to the readers but to the editorial staff at the same time. Henry has made some critical strategic decisions early on in the process that have allowed a successful delivery of this programme. One of them was to adopt SAFe. The Technology department Henry has inherited was not delivering for several years and Henry was able to turn it into a functioning department that can deliver products and most importantly, in a predictable manner. In the period Henry and I worked together the Technology department has delivered shipped a new Edition application for tablets and mobile devices and a new Telegraph responsive website platform to name a few.
