I developed new business by writing and obtaining approval of applications for new charter schools and obtained over $1M in startup capital. I designed operating budgets, ensured cash flow, and monitored financial activities. I also led OMB A-133 audits, and federal and state tax returns, and negotiated favorable large-scale real estate lease and loan terms. ► I developed a strategic growth plan that led to financial sustainability, a 300% increase in revenue, expanded enrollment of 300%+, and a threefold increase in headcount. ► I negotiated favorable terms for a $17M loan we closed in June 2017. We were able to secure the $17M at a lower cost than the $15M loan it replaced, allowing us to obtain $2M for almost no additional cost. ► I secured an apportionment of approximately $30M from the Calif. I directed annual revenues in excess of $12M. I prepared comprehensive financial reports and projections, made annual and multi-year budget recommendations. I supervised employee recruitment and retention, payroll, and annual employee benefit plan contracts for more than 220 W-2 employees. I managed property facilities, procurement, security, IT, and maintenance, including management of multiple facilities totaling ~100,000 sq. ft. I oversaw completion of a 67,000 sq. ft. Class A commercial building. ► I created plan, milestones and managed process toward operational sustainability by narrowing focus to building new charter schools, shifting reliance from significant fundraising revenue to supporting operations only using operating resources. Sustainability was achieved in the 2017-2018 fiscal year. In addition, most of our growth over the last few years was funded out of operations. ► I negotiated favorable terms and supervised execution of real estate leases and a permanent loan to replace the 7-year term of the NMTC loan.
