For the 2021/22 season in the National League South, I volunteered at my local club Slough Town FC providing match reports for the games and managing their social media feeds on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. After a great season at the club, for the 2022/23 season I have changed to a new role in marketing to drive an increase in revenue and help the club attract new customers to come and watch the football matches on game days. Along with this, I have been contacting local businesses within the Slough and surrounding area attempting to create sponsorship and partnership deals to benefit the club.

In July 2019, I gained a weeks worth of experience in the marketing department for one of the worlds largest car manufacturing companies, BMW. In that week I worked in different areas within the company. These include events, advertising and after sales. I managed to get a flavour of what day to day operations was like within a premium car company and gained a deep understanding of the company brand and company culture that they follow on a day-to-say basis. In the events department I gained an understanding of how BMW promote their cars and bikes during events. At the time Goodwood Festival of Speed was approaching and I assisted in some final preparations for the weekend event. In the advertising department, I discovered the multiple promotional methods BMW use to attract both new and returning customers both online and offline. I assisted with the handling of the official BMW Twitter page and helped in the production of advertising material which appeared in the Daily Telegraph. In the after sales department I learnt how BMW try and retain their customers for future purchases. Through this, I learnt about systems that BMW use such as LaunchPad and gained a good understanding on the IT infrastructure.
