The business management course is designed to develop students’ knowledge and understanding of business management theories, as well as their ability to apply a range of tools and techniques.Students learn to analyse, discuss and evaluate business activities at local, national and international levels. The course covers a range of organizations from all sectors, as well as the socio-cultural and economic contexts in which those organizations operate. The course covers the key characteristics of business organization and environment and the business functions of human resource management, finance and accounts, marketing and operations management. Links between the topics are central to the course. Through the exploration of six underpinning concepts (change, culture, ethics, globalization, innovation and strategy), the course allows students to develop a holistic understanding of today’s complex and dynamic business environment. The conceptual learning is firmly anchored in business management theories, tools and techniques and placed in the context of real world examples and case studies. The course encourages the appreciation of ethical concerns at both a local and global level. It aims to develop relevant and transferable skills, including the ability to: think critically; make ethically sound and well-informed decisions; appreciate the pace, nature and significance of change; think strategically; and undertake long term planning, analysis and evaluation. The course also develops subject-specific skills, such as financial analysis.

2007 õppeaasta alguses paigaldati Gustav Adolfi Gümnaasiumisse umbes 150000 krooni väärtuses läbipääsu- ja identifitseerimistehnoloogiat ning jagati kõikidele õpilastele elektroonilised puutevabad kiipkaardid. Tänaseks on need õpilase ID-ks tituleeritud kaardid muutunud koolielu lahutamatuks osaks ja nende kasutamine kooli juhtkonna korraldusel ka kohustuslikuks. Rakenduste nimekiri on muljetavaldav – kümne sentimeetri kauguselt vastuvõtjale kaardi näitamine võimaldab kooli sissepääsu ja registreerib selle, võimaldab vaid ettenähtud ajal toitlustamise kooli sööklas, võimla kasutamise, raamatute laenutamise ning paljundamistööd. Samuti toimib kaart Tallinna ühistranspordis ID-piletina, kuhu on võimalik kanda nõutav rahasumma. Olulisemaid funktsioone on aga lihtsustatud statistiliste andmete koondamine, mille alusel saab lapsevanem ja kooli personal infot koolis toimuva kohta.Jaanuaris koolijuhtidele ja haridusametnikele projekti tulemusi ja uusi arenguid tutvustanud ID Network turundusdirektor Henry Arnhold kinnitab, et huvi süsteemi laiema rakendamise vastu on suur.Projekti initsiaator, Gustav Adolfi Gümnaasiumi direktor Hendrik Agur: “Oleme õpilaspiletisse koondanud hulga kasulikke funktsioone – ühe väikese dokumendiga saab teostada hetkel kuut elektroonilist operatsiooni ning nende hulk suureneb veelgi, õpilaspileti eest makstud summa on pigem sümboolne.”Lapsevanemad on uuendused vastu võtnud positiivselt ning näevad projektil perspektiivi.

Estonian Ministry of the Environment recognized JCI GO Koda for a city tree planting project and awarded the chapter with by the Environmental Award of the Year 2010 and monetary prize. 300 trees were planted together with local residents at Tondiloo park in Lasnamäe part of Tallinn City. The original idea came from a local resident Jelizaveta Nikolajeva, who dreamed about making Lasnamäe a greener place to live. JCI GO Koda in cooperation with Let’s do it! organization helped Jelizaveta to make her dream come true. Although the weather was colder and windier than expected, approximately 1000 volunteers braved the elements to come out and show their interest, support and enthusiasm in helping to make Lasnamäe a little bit greener.A cross-section of residents, from young to old alike, including Estonian and Russian-language speakers, came together, registered, and headed off in small teams to individual tree planting sites all around the park. "We felt it was very important that the trees were planted by Lasnamäe residents themselves, as it this leads to stronger inter-ethnic relations and shared responsibility for their environment," said Henry Arnhold, Manager of the project and Board Member of JCI GO Koda. In addition to Estonians and Russians nearly 1000 people of different nationalities, such as Americans, Danes and Swedes, took part of the tree planting. Arnhold would like to thank all the people who contributed to this project. The project was brought to life thanks to JCI GO Koda in cooperation with Let's Do It! My Estonia, Tallinn Environment Agency and Lasnamäe Municipaly. The "Greening Lasnamäe" project was supported in part by the U.S. Embassy in Tallinn, whose contribution helped to purchase a majority of the trees planted.
