I have gained great experience with IT audit (external as well as internal audit), including review and test of general IT controls. It primarily entails scoping the company's IT environment and identifying risks in the network, systems and platforms which supports the generation of financial data in relation to the financial statement, and audit the controls that support/mitigate these risks. My work includes carrying out audit and assessment of a broad spectrum of technical platforms ranging from operating systems such as Windows, AS/400 or Unix to databases such as SQL and Oracle. In addition i also audit outsourcing companies in charge of hosting and operation of customers systems and data, and then preparing an audit statement. This includes different types of statements such as statements on the Danish Act on Processing of Personal Data, ISAE 3000 statements, ISRS 4400 statements and ISAE3402 type 1 and type 2 statements. In connection with the performance of the above listed IT audits and statements, I have gained a lot of experience with the auditing standard ISO27001 and the CobiT framework. In addition I have accompanied the US in SOX audits. My work gives me expert insight in the optimal configuration of IT infrastructure, and setting up a secure and safe IT environment in a company of any size. It makes me able to identify potential risks whether it be operational risk or financial risk, assess the severity of those risks and thereby prevent against risks or establish mitigating controls in the IT environment.
