  Detech has been an early adopter of optimization-based decision technology in finance. Our mission is to help financial institutions to ensure their financial stability and success in increasingly volatile market environments.My work at Detech is mainly focused on internal software development, but it also includes working with clients and partners in an international atmosphere. During my time at Detech I have been able to improve my skills in software and web development, and working in a team. I have gained experience in both maintaining software and building solutions from scratch. In addition to implementation, I have gotten to design architecture and pick the required tools and technologies of our solutions.Working in a small team has given me lots of freedom regarding development of solutions: I have had the freedom to choose exactly how to approach a problem and how to solve it. On the other hand, the freedom has also come with additional responsibility: Being able to choose my approach has also required me to think more about what kinds of repercussions each possible approach has (e.g., how will it affect development at later stages?).
