I was so fortunate to have Hemali Saurman in my department when I was the Head of MIS Research at Moody’s. Hemali is very talented and I repeatedly enlisted Hemali to lead strategic initiatives to advance the MIS research strategy and technology at Moody’s. I resigned from my role at Moody's to hike the Pacific crest trail. It was a difficult decision and I miss working with talented and fun people. However, I am glad I made this decision because I immensely enjoyed this physical, mental and logistical challenge. I hiked 1700 miles of the Pacific crest trail and summited various peaks such as Mt. Whitney, San Jacinto, Baden Powell, etc. My husband and I evacuated from the trail when the McKinney fire started. At the same time, my father passed away unexpectedly so we made the decision to end the hike and head to India. After a couple of months in India, we are now taking a career break to travel and explore. Show less
