Bio
Anne-Wil Harzing
When meeting her for the first time nearly 10 years ago, Helene immediately impressed me with her combination of sharp intellect and practical organizational skills, making her the ideal academic collaborator. Our interactions since have only confirmed that first impression over and over again. Therefore, I am not surprised that she managed to publish numerous papers in the top journals in our field, combining strong conceptual grounding with meticulous qualitative research. In the CYGNA women’s network we were all fascinated by her presentation on publishing in top IB journals in which she shared her systematic approach to planning papers from a large-scale qualitative study: https://harzing.com/blog/2018/05/cygna-publishing-in-management-psychology-and-international-business#IB Most recently Helene has been a tower of support as co-editor in my longstanding IHRM textbook, which will soon celebrate its 30th anniversary. Having almost given up on embarking on new editions, with Helene (and Sebastian Reiche) as co-editors I know the book’s future is in safe hands.
