It is often difficult to quantify in words the impact certain people have on your professional life, that is a credit to them and a testament to the passion and expertise they possess. Such is the case with Helen. As an aspiring MSL, I have had the privilege of getting to know her in the capacity of a mentor, adviser and trainer in MSL excellence. It would not be an exaggeration to say that for the most part, my knowledge, understanding and appreciation of what being an MSL entails has been nurtured under Helen’s stewardship. I have been extremely fortunate of having had the opportunity to learn from her and attend various workshops and webinars run by her under her company – PivotMSL and by the MSLA. Helen’s passion for the MSL role and it's development is infectious and very genuine. Her reputation in the industry as a credible and proven medical affairs professional is evident from the respect and admiration she commands from her peers. Every time I have walked out from an interaction with Helen, I have left with a renewed sense of vigour, focus and enthusiasm for the MSL role and all that it encompasses. Among her many qualities is her innate passion for what she believes in and her openness in sharing her expertise. It is an honour to learn from her and be guided by her experience and wisdom. Regardless of where my personal journey as an aspiring MSL takes me, I will always be indebted to Helen for her time and generosity in mentoring me. I look forward to many exciting ventures ahead and am certain that under Helen’s leadership, Pivot MSL will flourish and establish itself as a leader in defining MSL excellence and in developing future generations of top class MSL professionals.
