  My position within the child guidance department was to monitor students behaviour for the SLT, monitor students attendance, I also worked closely with external agencies that offer students support and counselling. I worked closely with transition from primary school to secondary and I also mentored certain key students that needed support. I worked with students on isolation and who were causing disruptive behaviour within the classroom. My role was also arranging student events and trips and supporting charities by arranging shoe boxes for children in Africa to be sent full of Christmas presents donated by the children at Perins. I thoroughly enjoyed my starting point of working with students but learnt within this time my strengths and gifts were aimed more towards the older students so I continued my path to an higher education setting.Within my time at Perins secondary I completed CBD training in mental health, eating disorders, psychosis, & self harm.
