To deliver and maintain all custody courses to a high level of quality and consistency. My main role is to train Custody Police Sergeants and Custody Detention Officers in custody procedures and legislation, so they are operationally competent in their role. Mental Health First Aid Instructor Member - Deliver and train delegates to support mental health in their workplace and beyond. Developing skills and awareness to support individuals to empower themselves and others. Responsibilities included the following: • Design and deliver appropriate training in legislation, policies and procedures to meet the standards set by the College of Policing including PACE, Codes of Practice, Authorised Professional Practice and local force policies • Implementation and management of all training products that are designed and delivered in accordance with mandatory and legal requirements • Confidential report writing for all delegates on programmes • Management and administration of all custody programmes • Tracking of a delegate’s portfolios and record keeping for each activity carried out • All health and safety, programming • Ensure that delegates exhibit the required skills to successfully, safely and effectively perform the duties of their roles through effective assessment of delegates during the training process • Maintaining and updating resources in an evolving environment, attending all custody meetings and attend relevant development courses • Effectively maintaining working relationships with internal and external agencies • Train the NICHE RMS Custody system in line with regional and local force policies and procedures Show less

My role required organisation and communication skills in support of the College’s mission statement.
