Helen worked with us as a new start business to develop a deep understanding of the meaning of our brand, the ethos behind it and what we wanted it to represent to everyday clients. This included reviewing the trading name of the business and its shorthand, creating a logo, finding the right colours, their meaning and how the whole would impact on potential clients when they viewed our logo for the first time. The result was a resounding success; a cool, calm logo and colour scheme that transmitted our meaning and stood out without being vulgar; best of all, they have stood the test of time extremely well. Working with Helen on anything from basic template designs to more complex layered projects is always a pleasure, and we have come to expect a high standard from her work and her creative input as a matter of course. We would thoroughly recommend Helen’s work to anyone.

      In my role as Associate, I drove creative output and design solutions of the graphic projects. Promoted in-house graphics to potential clients and within the industry, raising awareness of Blacksheep as a branding agency. From conceptual thinking and planning of the pitch, through to design execution and delivery, I directed, oversaw and mentored the graphic design team. My role also required supporting the Directors and Studio Manager in the running of the studio. Managing budgets, writing fee proposals and team appraisals. As a key member of the Blacksheep management team I played a pivotal role in the growth of the company, seeing it expand from 12 permanent employees to over 30, working with global brands, a leader of extraordinary hospitality design, offering strategy, branding and interior design. Clients included: Jamie Oliver, Wedgwood, Waterford, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Marriott, Hilton, plus many independent hotels, restaurants and clubs (such as Puro Hotels, Inamo, Urban Meadow & Whisky Mist).

      At Enterprise IG I joined as part of the fledgling Brand Experience team, where I moved up the ranks from Graduate Placement to Senior Designer. Whilst there I worked on a broad range of design disciplines, but the focus of my portfolio was branded environments, taking a brand’s intangible values and from this creating a tangible space. Working in a multidisciplinary branding agency meant opportunities to work with other departments such as corporate and packaging. I also contributed to an internal quarterly trends document, which involved trend research, writing content and production of the document. I gained valuable experience in designing for a different culture whilst working in China, alongside local designers and agencies, creating a retail concept for Motorola. Clients included: Vodafone, SABMiller, Motorola, Audi, BP, Unilever, Samsung and the Learning Skills Council. "Helen is a great asset in a team.
