INSTITUTE FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT, LANCASTER UNIVERSITY MANAGEMENT SCHOOL, Lancaster, LA1 4YX Project Manager – Knowledge Exchange March ’06 – 2014 • From ’06-’09 responsible for delivering six projects, funded by the European Regional Development Fund to more than 600 regional small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) within the Northwest, with a total budget of circa £8 million. • Managed London Fusion, a project to bring together 460 creative and digital SMEs pan London, leading to greater collaboration, globalisation and ultimately business growth. Total budget ~£5m. • As Programme Director responsible for development of new MSc International Innovation, a unique 2 year, multi-disciplinary MSc, offering all students the opportunity to undertake and 6 month + placement in China. Sat on the Management board for the Lancaster China Catalyst Programme. • Through building strong business networks and client and partner relationships throughout responsible for identifying and addressing the specific needs of SMEs through the development of appropriate knowledge exchange mechanisms. • Work with colleagues to identify and secure future funding streams to continue knowledge exchange activity with SMEs Lead Consultant – Marketing June ’03 – March ‘06 • Diagnosed and implemented appropriate marketing support for SME clients via bespoke consultancy, signposting to student resource or development and delivery of workshop programmes Specialties: Knowledge Exchange between Lancaster University Management School and SMEs
