Co-Owner and Operator
-
Mar 2003 - Nov 2011
Breakout Apparel Co., LLC provided custom screen printing, embroidery, and promotional products on apparel and other textiles. As Co-Owner, I was responsible for all business operations including client and vendor relationships, staffing needs, bookkeeping and accounting, scheduling of production and shipping, and managing the retail store operations. I also represented our business in the community by participating in and serving on the Waunakee Chamber of Commerce Board and WaunaFest Run Committee. In addition, I managed our facilities and the sale of the building working with the buyer and the Village to transition the property for further development. In 2010, we sold our business to Trending Now Promotions and I assumed the role of Operations Manager to guide the new owners, existing clients, and vendors successfully through the transition of ownership. I was responsible for the day-to-day operation of the business managing client relationships, in-take of orders, sourcing materials and apparel, scheduling jobs, invoicing orders, and collecting payments. I also participated in the establishment of a retail location including staffing, recommending merchandise, and overall management of the store operations.
