I teach on the Early Years Programme at DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama. This highly successful three-year programme caters for children from preschool to Senior Infants or First Class (approximately 3-7 years). In the time that I have been at DIT the Early Years student numbers have grown from two classes a week to sixteen, ten of which are taught by me. The course has been developed largely by me, through experience with what works with my students and responding to what they needed as the course grew. Drawing on principles of Kodaly and Dalcroze, the classes aim to provide children with an excellent musical foundation in a fun and engaging manner. Show less
